Most of Egypt is covered by the low-lying sand dunes and depressions
of the Western and Libyan Deserts. It has a rapidly growing population,
limited usable land, and depends highly on the Nile River. There is
also a pressing need for massive investment in communications and
infrastructure. Regardless though, Egypt remains one of the favorite
destinations of archaeologists, historians and tourists from around
the world. It is the oldest tourist destination in the world.
