The place
to go to see the famed giants, this park stretches for miles along
the Humboldt coast. One could spend weeks exploring all the canyons,
gorges, beaches, hills and forests filled with the awesome Redwood
and Sequoia trees. One highlight is Fern Canyon. A short hike from
the car park there takes you through the bottom of a narrow canyon
cut through by a tiny creek, wood plank bridges and fallen Redwood
giants, all surrounded by steep cliffs carpeted with bright green
moss. Jump in a car and get to it! |

Architectural
Tours

boat tours |
When
planning our trip, there was one thing that everyone kept saying we
'must do' in Chicago: an architectural tour. The tours give fascinating
insight into the history of the city, which is the home of the skyscraper
and one of the world's best collections of modern architecture. The
Chicago Architecture Foundation, along with several boat and tour
companies on the river and Navy Pier offer 60-90 minute tours led
by knowledgeable guides. |

Bobby's
Bike Hike

biking tours
|
Bobby's
Bike Hike offers a unique and enjoyable way to tour downtown Chicago,
just jump on a shiny blue Schwinn and take a leisurely cruise around
the city. Choose between a day tour north of the river or the evening
tour south of the river, and follow sidewalks, bike lanes, parks and
side streets to discover lesser known parts of the city amongst the
main attractions. Chicago's flat terrain makes it an easy tour for
anyone, and there are plenty of stops along the way to take in the
scenery and learn about the city from your knowledgeable and lighthearted
guide. Expect to have a great time! |
