CLARE - DOOLIN AREA |
| |
Driving around the Burren Region of Clare County is magic. The narrow
winding roads are bound by ancient stone walls, rolling green pastures,
limestone and shale plateaus, ocean cliffs, castles and tiny villages.
One of the many awesome sights you will encounter on your journey
here is the jagged Cliffs of Moher, stretching for 5 miles and towering
up to 660 ft. above the Atlantic Ocean. Amazing! OE |
|
Of the
three pubs that you will have to choose from in Doolin, McDermotts
definitely has the best 'craic', that is, good conversation, good
crowd, good times. |

KERRY - DINGLE PENINSULA |
| |
The Dingle
Peninsula will surely be a main highlight of any road trip around
Ireland, and is supposedly much less touristy and crowded than the
Ring of Kerry drive on the next peninsula south. Be sure to take the
narrow, mountainous Conor Pass, as the views over both sides of the
peninsula are stunning, then drive out west to the point at Slea Head
for unbelievably beautiful rural and coastal scenery. OE |

Wild
Wicklow Tour
bus
tour |
It's
no surprise that this full day trip is an award winning, highly rated
tour. The small Mercedes coaches can take you off the beaten track,
where regular coaches can't go, and the guides are incredibly energetic
and entertaining, generating lots of fun and 'craic'. Venture into
the Wicklow Mountains, along the coast, to Avoca Handweavers, through
Glendalough's 6th century monastic settlement and deep valley, and
to a traditional Irish pub for lunch. It's one of the best tours we've
done in a long time and the scenery, history and comraderie are tops.
